About us
Why do you photograph weddings?
Photographs become more valuable with every passing year. Long after the flowers have faded and the music has ended, your photographs become the way future generations experience your story. It is an incredible privilege to preserve those memories, and we never forget the responsibility that comes with it.
Will you and Tony personally photograph our wedding?
Yes. Every wedding we accept is personally photographed by Sarah and Tony.
When you commission Sarah DiCicco Photography, you're commissioning the artists whose work inspired you to reach out. From your first conversation to your final heirloom album, you'll work directly with us, and we'll be the ones documenting your wedding day.
While many studios have expanded with multiple photography teams, we've intentionally chosen a different path. We limit the number of weddings we accept each year so every couple receives our personal attention, creative vision, and more than two decades of experience working together.
For larger celebrations, trusted third and fourth photographers may join us, along with an experienced FAA certified drone photographer when appropriate. We also have an exceptional team of editors and creative professionals working behind the scenes to support every wedding. Every member of our team is personally selected and works under our direction, while Sarah and Tony remain your lead photographers from beginning to end.
After photographing hundreds of weddings together, we work seamlessly as one, anticipating moments before they unfold and creating photographs that only come from years of experience working side by side.
The relationship you build with us throughout the planning process is the same relationship you'll have on your wedding day. The photographers whose work you fell in love with are the photographers who are with you the whole way through.
Do you limit the number of weddings you photograph?
Every wedding receives an extraordinary amount of personal attention before, during, and long after the celebration. By accepting only a limited number of commissions each year, we're able to remain personally involved in every step of the experience, ensuring every couple receives the care and craftsmanship they deserve.
Do you travel for weddings?
Absolutely. While we're based in Wayne, Pennsylvania and regularly photograph celebrations throughout Philadelphia, the Main Line, Palm Beach, and the Jersey Shore, we happily travel wherever your story takes us. From intimate destination weddings to multi-day celebrations around the world, we'd love to be part of your journey.
What's the story behind the little sheep in a top hat?
I grew up on the same 200-year-old family farm in Berks County where four generations of my family have lived. We were never farmers ourselves, but sheep quietly grazed the fields that surrounded our home. Those years taught me to appreciate beautiful light, hard work, and the simple elegance of the countryside.
Years later, photography brought me to Philadelphia's Main Line, where Tony and I built our studio surrounded by historic estates, black-tie celebrations, champagne toasts, and timeless architecture. Somewhere along the way I also discovered a love for oysters, champagne, and classic French style.
Our little sheep in a top hat became the perfect symbol of those two worlds coming together. It represents country roots and refined celebrations. It reminds us that elegance isn't about where you come from, but about how thoughtfully you care for what you've been given.
Our process
What does your process look like?
Our work begins long before the wedding day. We take time to learn about your celebration, your priorities, your families, and the photographs that matter most to you. Together we create a thoughtful timeline that allows space for genuine moments while ensuring every important detail is beautifully documented. After your wedding, every image is carefully curated, individually edited, and presented as a timeless collection designed to become part of your family's legacy.
Do you help us plan our wedding photography timeline?
Absolutely. A thoughtful timeline is one of the most valuable parts of our service. We help create a schedule that allows you to enjoy your wedding while giving every important moment the time and attention it deserves. Our goal is for the day to feel effortless, never rushed.
What happens if the weather doesn't cooperate or our timeline changes?
One of the greatest advantages of experience is knowing that weddings rarely unfold exactly as planned. Whether it's unexpected rain, changing light, or a timeline that shifts throughout the day, we approach every situation with calm confidence rather than panic.
Because we're deeply involved in creating your timeline long before your wedding day, we already have thoughtful backup plans in place. Together with your planner and vendor team, we'll adjust the schedule, manage expectations, and make the most of every circumstance while keeping the experience relaxed and enjoyable.
Some of our favorite photographs have been created in the rain, beneath cloudy skies, and during beautifully unplanned moments. Our focus is never on perfect conditions. It's on creating extraordinary photographs, no matter what the day brings.
Do you photograph with film?
Yes. For couples who appreciate the artistry of film, there is simply nothing else like it. Film renders light with remarkable softness, skin tones with beautiful subtlety, and every image with a timeless quality that digital alone cannot replicate. Because every frame is intentional, photographing with film encourages a slower, more thoughtful approach, resulting in photographs that feel both refined and enduring.
What is your photographic style?
Our photographic style is natural, timeless, and heartfelt -full of light and love. We blend fine art and editorial wedding photography with a candid, photojournalistic approach, creating photographs that feel elevated and refined while remaining completely natural and true to you.
Influenced by the luminous quality of film, we’re drawn to beautiful natural light, authentic emotion, thoughtful composition, and the quiet in-between moments that tell the real story of a wedding day. We offer gentle direction when it’s needed, creating polished editorial portraits alongside the unscripted moments you never could have planned.
The result is a collection that feels **romantic, luminous, sophisticated, and enduring** rather than driven by trends. Every photograph is thoughtfully edited by hand, then **polished and perfected before it is ever printed**, creating timeless photographs and heirlooms meant to be loved for generations.
How do you select the final images?
Every photograph captured by us is carefully reviewed. We remove duplicates, blinks, and images that do not strengthen the story, then I personally curate your collection, selecting the most meaningful moments and arranging them into a beautiful visual narrative. The result is a gallery that feels complete, intentional, and emotionally connected from beginning to end.
Do you use AI to edit your photographs?
Many photographers now rely on AI to edit entire wedding galleries in minutes, applying broad adjustments across hundreds or even thousands of images. While that approach can dramatically reduce editing time, we believe every photograph deserves individual attention.
We embrace technology where it enhances our workflow, but we don't rely on AI to make creative decisions. Every wedding is unique, and a single automated edit cannot understand light, emotion, color, or the subtle moments that define your celebration. Each image is individually refined by hand to ensure accurate color, beautiful skin tones, and a gallery that feels cohesive, timeless, and true to your day.
For us, editing is not simply about efficiency. It is part of the artistry. While AI will continue to evolve, we believe the finest photographs are still shaped by the trained eye, experience, and intention of the artist behind the camera.
What should we expect to invest in wedding photography?
A helpful planning guideline is to reserve approximately 10% of your wedding budget for photography. While every celebration is unique, we believe the most meaningful investment is in the memories that will remain long after your wedding day.
That philosophy shapes everything we do. From the way we guide you throughout the planning process to the handcrafted heirloom albums we create, every collection is designed to preserve not only how your wedding looked, but how it felt. Your photographs become part of your family's history, meant to be enjoyed today and cherished tomorrow.
Can you send us your pricing?
Rather than simply sending a price list, we take the time to learn about you, what matters most, and what you’re envisioning for your wedding. Through education and heartfelt conversations, we can guide you toward the collection that best serves you and the way you want your wedding to be remembered.
How far in advance should we book?
As soon as you know we're the right fit.
The date matters, but the relationship matters even more. Most couples reserve their wedding 12 to 18 months in advance. We also keep a date or two available each year for couples planning a shorter engagement.
Whenever your celebration may be, we'd love to hear your story.
The experience
What makes working with you different?
Our couples often tell us they felt cared for long before they ever received their photographs. We believe the experience should be as thoughtful as the images themselves. From planning and guidance to calm direction on the wedding day, every part of our process is designed to help you feel present, confident, and free to enjoy your celebration.
Why should we have our rehearsal dinner photographed?
Your wedding weekend begins long before you walk down the aisle. Rehearsal dinners and welcome parties are often where the most heartfelt conversations, joyful reunions, and meaningful toasts unfold. By the time your wedding day arrives, I'll already know your closest family and friends, your guests will know me, and you'll feel completely at ease in front of my camera. The result is a collection of relaxed, authentic photographs that beautifully complete the story of your celebration.
How do you help us feel comfortable in front of the camera?
Most couples tell us they're not used to being photographed, and that's perfectly normal. Rather than placing you in stiff poses, we gently guide you into natural movement and genuine interaction. Our approach combines years of portrait experience with photojournalism, allowing your photographs to feel elegant, relaxed, and unmistakably you.
Will our families be an important part of the photographs?
Always. A wedding is one of the few occasions when the people you love most are gathered together in one place. We never take that for granted.
Beyond creating beautiful portraits of the two of you, we intentionally watch for the meaningful interactions between parents, grandparents, siblings, children, and lifelong friends. These relationships are the heart of your celebration, and preserving them with care is one of the greatest responsibilities we have as photographers.
Will you help us throughout the wedding day?
Always. While we're there to create beautiful photographs, we're also there to support the experience of your day. Whether it's adjusting a veil, keeping the timeline on track, calming pre-ceremony nerves, or noticing moments before they happen, our role extends far beyond simply taking pictures.
Do you stay until the very end?
Always. Some of the most unforgettable moments happen after the formalities have ended. The dance floor fills, families relax, and everyone is simply enjoying being together. We believe your story deserves to be documented completely, which is why we remain until the final celebration whenever your collection includes full-day coverage.
Your heirlooms
Is every photograph edited?
Yes. Every image you receive is individually color balanced and refined by hand. Rather than applying one automated edit across an entire gallery, we carefully evaluate each photograph for light, color, skin tones, and consistency. Time is an essential part of creating fine art, and we believe every image deserves that level of care.
How many photographs will we receive?
Every celebration is different, so there is no predetermined number. Rather than limiting your gallery, we deliver every meaningful image that meets our artistic standards. Most couples receive well over a thousand carefully edited photographs that tell the complete story of their wedding day.
What is the timeline for receiving our photographs?
Every couple values their photographs differently, which is why we offer a variety of delivery options across our collections. Whether you'd like to begin sharing images within days or prefer to anticipate your complete gallery, each milestone is thoughtfully designed to let you relive your celebration long before your final collection is delivered.

We also create custom Heirloom Albums, thoughtfully curated with your favorite images and designed to tell the story of your wedding through intentional layouts, beautiful craftsmanship, and the finest archival materials.
